Rob led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Last month’s minutes were presented and Tiffany advised that Joe Grosso’s name was misspelled. With that correction, the minutes were accepted by Tiffany Richards and seconded by Darlene Richards.

Rob Warner thanked Bill for donating his winnings from the 50/50 raffle back to the Operation Homefront. The Roost thanked him and applauded his generosity.

Corresponding Secretary’s Report: Nothing to report.

President’s Report:
1. Bill welcomed our new members-Ron Pierre, Bobbi Jo Cargo and Dane Crook.
2. Bill asked the two nominees for Treasurer, Rob Warner and Karen Petrecca, to introduce themselves.
3. Rob attended the Council meeting on behalf of Bill and reported the following from the meeting:
A. The Council raised $144,000 for the 2009 Polar Bear Plunge
B. Charity was the foremost theme for the council.
C. All were preparing for the convention in OC. The council stressed that no alcohol was allowed during the parade.
4. Bill gave the draft a rating of C+. Where is the receiver that we need? He is excited about Ohler. Being the last in that room might give him just enough chip on his shoulder that he will really need to prove himself. He could be our Ogden with attitude. We definitely need to recruit a cornerback and linebacker. He is excited about Birk at center, a former pro-bowler. Paul Kruger might be Michael McCrary reinvented. The first training camp looked good and all are excited about the Ravens vs. Redskins preseason game on August 13th.
5. Thanks to everyone that helped with the Bull Roast, especially the Schleicher girls for selling so many tickets. A special thanks goes to Bonnie Schleicher for all of her hard work and leadership! The financial report will follow concerning this when Bob arrives.
6. Bill passed around information concerning road trip availability.
7. New members can register late for the OC convention if they would like to attend.
8. Bill wished Rob and Karen good luck on the election and thanked Bob for his 5 years of service as Treasurer to the Roost.

Committee Reports:
1. Membership-Welcome to the three new members. Membership fees are due this month.
2. Social
A. Bonnie recapped the Bull Roast and asked if anyone had any comments. It was brought up that possibly “older” music could be played. Bonnie said the DJ is open to whatever we want, so we can request that next year. The liquor quality and the grumpy bartender also were discussed. We can revisit these things next year during the planning stages.
B. There will be no regular July meeting. We will replace that with our annual pool party and picnic on July 18th from 12:00noon-9:00pm. Bonnie will be sending out an evite and each member is requested to bring a dish. Guests are welcome. Any nonmembers of the Fountain Green Swim Club need to pay $5.00 to get in and the Roost will supply hot dogs, hamburgers, fixins and paper products for members as well as guests. Please let Bonnie know if you are bringing guests so she can plan around the food. BYOD-alcohol is allowed but no glass containers.
3. Good and Welfare-Nothing to report.

New Business:
1. Ken Paulick talked about Spring football and what a big success it was. He was wondering if the roost would like to go as a group next year. Bill suggested that Ken could chair that activity and that we would put it on the January 2010 agenda.

Old Business:
1. Sharon sent around sign up sheets for events at the convention.
2. Elections were held.
